Mean Time metrics measure the effectiveness and burden on IT Ops systems and teams. In BigPanda reporting, we often focus on three key MTTx measurements.

(MTTA) Mean time to assign: Measures the average time it takes an incident to be assigned to a team member responsible to see the failing system or equipment to resolution. In reporting this is specifically measuring the time between incident creation and when the incident is assigned to a user in BigPanda.

(MTTD) Mean time to detect: Measures the average time it takes an Ops team to be notified of failing systems and equipment. In reporting this is specifically measuring the time between the incident creation and the first instance of commenting, snoozing, or sharing.

(MTTR) Mean time to repair/resolve: Measures the average time required to troubleshoot and repair failing systems and equipment. In reporting this is specifically measuring the time between the incident start and end time.

BigPanda’s AIOps combines your best-of-breed monitoring tools with automation, a single pane view, and collaborative streamlining to shorten your incident management lifecycle and dramatically improve your MTTx.
