My On-Call
My On-Call gives responders a self-service view in Biggy On-Call. Responders can view and respond to pages, review on-call shifts and teams, and manage their paging preferences.
From My On-Call, you can:
Track and acknowledge the pages sent to you as they arrive.
See whether you are on call, your upcoming shifts, and your next handoff.
Add and label your own contact methods and set per-number consent for SMS, WhatsApp, and voice.
Build personal notification rules that decide which channels reach you, in what order, and how often.
Download the Biggy On-Call contact card so pages can bypass silent and Do Not Disturb settings.
My On-Call is scoped to the signed-in responder. It does not expose the org-wide page log, org-wide incident resolution, or other responders' contact details. Administrators can grant My On-Call access to the whole responder population.
This page is located in the web app at Operate > On-Call > My On-Call.
Open My On-Call
In the left navigation, under On-Call, select My On-Call.
At the top of every tab, a summary keeps your status in view:
On-call status: A banner shows whether you are on call now, and a short note about upcoming shifts. For example You're not on call and No upcoming shifts in the next 4 weeks.
Needs attention: The number of your pages that are still open and waiting for a response.
Acknowledged: The number of your pages that have been acknowledged.
My teams: The number of teams you belong to.
Next shift: When your next on-call shift starts, or None if you have no upcoming shifts.
To open an incident and page from this screen, click New Incident in the top-right corner.
Add phone number
If Biggy cannot page your phone, a banner appears at the top of the page. Click Add phone number to add a number for SMS or WhatsApp paging.
The My Pages tab
The My Pages tab lists the pages that reached you, with details on whether you were paged directly, through a team, or through an on-call schedule. The list refreshes automatically so you always see the current state.
For each page, you can:
Acknowledge the page to stop the escalation, or decline it to escalate immediately.
Open a per-page detail view to see the timeline and your delivery attempts.
Filter the list by status, for example Needs attention or Acknowledged.
When you have no pages, the tab shows a No pages yet message. New pages appear as soon as someone pages you directly, through a team, or through an on-call schedule.
The Schedules tab
The Schedules tab shows your coverage and the coverage of the wider organization.
The tab has three sections:
Upcoming shifts: Your next 12 shifts, up to four weeks out, shown in your display timezone. When you have no upcoming shifts, the section shows No shifts scheduled in the next 4 weeks.
My teams: The teams you belong to, with a short description and member count.
Schedules: Who is on call across every rotation this week. Use the My schedules only toggle to switch between your schedules and everyone's, and use the search box to find a schedule or team by name.
Shift times are computed from schedules' rotations and overrides. An administrator manages rotations and overrides under On-Call Settings.
The Preferences tab
The Preferences tab is where you control how Biggy reaches you. A channel row near the top shows which channels can page you, for example SMS, WhatsApp, Voice, Email, Slack linked, and No Teams user.
Add and manage contact methods
Under Contact methods, add the phone numbers and email addresses Biggy can use for paging.
Click Add phone or Add email to add a contact method.
(Optional) Give each contact method a descriptive label, for example
PersonalorWork emailUse the Paging on toggle to turn paging on or off for a contact method without deleting it.
Click the delete icon to remove a contact method.
When no contact methods are created, email pages fall back to your account email. Click Make it a contact to add that address as a managed contact method.
For a phone number, set your consent for each channel under Phone paging consent:
SMS pages: Text pages with reply-to-acknowledge.
WhatsApp pages: WhatsApp messages with tap-to-acknowledge buttons.
Voice pages: Automated calls with press-1-to-acknowledge.
Consent applies to the new number when you save.
How page delivery works
Your notification rules control how you are reached. Three principles govern delivery:
Your notification rules choose the channels: Unless a page or escalation step explicitly overrides contact methods, your New Page rule decides the channel order, delays, and repeats. Without a rule, Biggy pages every configured channel at once.
Biggy uses the contact details on this page: If a rule calls for a channel without a configured contact, Biggy skips that delivery method.
Acknowledging stops the escalation and your repeats: Respond from My Pages as soon as you take ownership, so the next responder is not paged unnecessarily.
Save the Biggy On-Call contact card
Click Download contact card to save the Biggy On-Call contact card to your phone. Once saved, pages ring and text as BigPanda, and you can let them bypass silent and Do Not Disturb settings:
iPhone: Open the contact and turn on Emergency Bypass so pages ring through Do Not Disturb.
Android: Star the contact, then allow starred contacts in your Do Not Disturb settings.
Notification rules
Under Notification rules, configure how you are notified for each event. New Page steps fire in order by their delay, soonest first. Repeat re-runs the sequence until the page is acknowledged. Status updates send once, immediately. Escalation steps or pages that override contact methods bypass the New Page rule.
Each event has its own on/off toggle. When you have not set a New Page rule, a No New Page rule set — default paging is on badge appears, and Biggy pages every configured channel at once.
Configure the four events:
New Page: When you are paged for a new incident. Add ordered steps, each with a channel and an after delay in minutes. Click Add step to add more steps, and set Repeat to re-run the sequence until the page is acknowledged.
Acknowledged: When a page you received gets acknowledged.
Escalated: When a page you received escalates to the next step.
Resolved: When an incident you were paged for is resolved.
When you finish, click Save preferences. The page shows All changes saved once your changes are stored, and You have unsaved changes while edits are pending.
