Start by integrating your Monitoring Tools to send all alert data to BigPanda. To get you going quickly, BigPanda provides many built-in Integrations with popular monitoring tools, such as Nagios and New Relic. For custom solutions and homegrown scripts, you can build advanced integrations by using the BigPanda API Reference.
After you integrate your monitoring tools, data begins flowing into BigPanda. Alerts are automatically processed and correlated into high-level incidents, which you can see in the BigPanda UI. Depending on your team's incident workflow, you can set up BigPanda to support any of the following use cases:
Unified Console––manage incidents through the service operations workflow from within the purpose-built BigPanda UI.
Smart Ticketing––automatically enrich and synchronize real-time incident data into ticketing tools, such as ServiceNow and JIRA, to deliver the benefits of BigPanda’s alert correlation within an existing ticketing workflow.
First, define Environments to organize incidents based on the areas of responsibility and processes in your organization. For example, you may want a custom view of incidents for a team that focuses only on production databases (unified console). Or, you may want a category of critical incidents for key services that will be escalated automatically (Smart Ticketing).
Next, configure Sharing Channels to integrate any ticketing or collaboration systems that you want to use with BigPanda. Then, define AutoShare Rules for Environments to notify key team members (unified console) or to automatically escalate incidents (smart ticketing).
Finally, invite users to join your BigPanda organization.
