Analytics is an important feature that allows you to get insight into the effectiveness of your IT operations. BigPanda provides a variety of OOTB and customized reporting options. Analytics and reporting features help you visualize trends and KPIs on the business impact and effectiveness of your IT Ops processes.

BigPanda Analytics also presents real-time statistics on operational health and bandwidth in a single pane. Visualize system-wide severity and status across multiple environments at once, allowing your teams to see overall service health at a glance.

Through rich historical reports and real-time data, you can track recurring incidents and outages, and identify the infrastructure elements or applications causing them. This helps you fix or eliminate them so that your existing IT Ops, NOC, and DevOps teams can handle more incidents than before.

BigPanda Analytics also helps IT Ops teams identify problematic, noisy, or misconfigured tools that generate low-quality alerts.

Unified Data Model

By normalizing event data across your monitoring and collaboration suite, BigPanda is able to track data across tools, teams, and business departments.

BigPanda collects IT Ops data at every stage of the incident management lifecycle, from event ingestion to automated actions and eventual resolution.

In addition, BigPanda also collects detailed data around operator actions such as commenting, snoozing, escalations, and resolution.

BigPanda uses this context-rich data to create a unified data model to make it easy to analyze and report on every element of IT Operations.

Operational Dashboards

BigPanda Analytics organizes your data into focused dashboards, making it easy to see an overview of monitoring impacts, drill down into specific tools, or identify actionable incident trends. Whether leveraging the real-time Live Dashboards or the extensive historical reporting of BigPanda Reporting and Unified Analytics, each dashboard is designed to help your team visualize and act on system trends.

BigPanda’s operational dashboards are based on deep IT Ops experience, and are aligned with industry best practices. These dashboards identify tool health, infrastructure, and team performance trends. Each dashboard is focused on vital metrics such as Mean Time to Resolve, User Actions, and Reporting Tool Efficacy. Each of these dashboards is designed around the unique reporting needs of a busy ITOps team and focuses on data vital to maintaining and improving monitoring efficacy.

Value Dashboards

BigPanda Reporting and Unified Analytics offer use case dashboards that translate IT Ops metrics and KPIs into business impact.

These value case dashboards help teams understand the effectiveness of their monitoring tools, reduce costs by retiring low-quality or redundant tooling, measure and improve the productivity of different IT Ops teams, and help standardize incident response workflows across the organization.

Self-Service Analytics and Custom Reports

BigPanda Analytics tools are available right in the BigPanda Console, putting the metrics at the fingertips of your team right when they need it.

Reports can also be exported and shared with users in your environment that do not have access to BigPanda to see how KPIs and metrics are trending over time.

If the metrics and KPIs that BigPanda Analytics focuses on aren’t right for your organization, these tools can be customized to better fit your analytics needs. This adds flexibility as your organization grows and changes. When business requirements change, new tools are integrated, or new lines of business are onboarded, it's easy for your teams to ensure that dashboards, reports, and widgets accurately reflect the situation.

Reporting Tools

BigPanda Analytics includes several tools designed to provide the analytics you need, when you need it.

  • BigPanda Reporting - View and manage reporting dashboards to help you identify and visualize trends within your monitoring process.
  • Unified Analytics - (Coming Soon!) View and manage reporting dashboards with a dramatically improved reporting structure and robust design.
  • Dashboards - View real-time incident statuses on a visually simple dashboard designed for display on a NOC monitor.
  • ETL - Access raw data in objects through the BigPanda ETL pipeline.

Unified Analytics

The new improved Unified Analytics feature is coming soon! With improved visualizations and customizable options, Unified Analytics will help you see the metrics you need to monitor and improve your IT Operations.

BigPanda Reporting

BigPanda Analytics Reports provide insights that you can use to make better decisions about your infrastructure. You can gain insights into hot spots in your ITOps processes and see how BigPanda is correlating alerts into actionable incidents.

BigPanda’s reports include focused dashboards that allow you to leverage BigPanda’s incident classification environments to sort and filter your ITOps data. Visualize key metrics like MTTR, Correlation Efficacy, and Top Alerting Checks and Hosts.

Unified Analytics

Unified Analytics is a reporting platform that allows you to validate and measure the impact of your monitoring systems and BigPanda configuration.

Unified Analytics offers focused dashboards, making it easy to see an overview of monitoring impacts, drill down into specific tools, or identify actionable incident trends. Each dashboard offers an on-demand snapshot of your data for a specific period of time, helping you visualize historical trends in your monitoring data and identify problem areas in your infrastructure.

Dashboards

The Dashboards Tab provides a consolidated view of real-time operational health metrics at a glance. The Dashboard is often used in NOC displays to provide an up-to-date view of the latest statuses.

You can configure Dashboards to display data from specific environments and can choose whether the dashboard should focus on severity or workflow status of incidents. Leverage Dashboards to keep your teams focused on only the highest priorities or key infrastructure elements.

ETL

BigPanda maintains raw data in standard objects that can be accessed through the BigPanda ETL pipeline, or can be exported in CSV format and processed through your own external tools.

The ETL Sync is ideal for sharing data with teams that are already leveraging an existing robust analytics tool, or who have unique data needs.
