Summary

BigPanda is pleased to announce a new version of the integration with Pingdom.

The new version offers these enhancements:

  • Supports both Basic Alerting and BeepManager Incidents with Alerting in one easy integration.
  • Gives you real-time updates on all status changes for your uptime or transaction checks.
  • Includes additional alert details for better visibility into the problem.
  • Uses the newly released Pingdom state changes webhook.
  • Replaces the previous, email-based integration, which required separate configuration for Up/Down and Incident Alerts.

Feature end-of-life

The email-based version of the Pingdom integration has been deprecated due to changes in the Pingdom platform, and it will no longer send data to BigPanda. If you are using a previous version of the integration, upgrade to the webhook version.

Details

Upgrading Pingdom

If you are using a previous version of the Pingdom integration in BigPanda, you must upgrade your integration by installing the webhook version and then deleting the previous version.

  1. Review the differences between versions.
  2. In BigPanda, click Integrations.
  3. Click New Integration, and select Pingdom new.
  4. Follow the instructions to install the webhook integration for Pingdom.
  5. In Pingdom, uninstall the previous integration.
  6. In BigPanda, click Integrations.
  7. In your list of integrations, click Pingdom.
  8. Click Delete Integration, and then press Enter to send the deletion request.
    The BigPanda support team will delete the integration from your UI.
